Online Voting

These are now election days in many states. People staying away from their states or hometowns where they have their voting centers are not able to vote for their franchise. Many youngsters are needed to relocate in different places of the country leaving their prime right in their hometown. This is the main why we are not able to see the change in government because most of the people who can decide whom to vote are required to relocate and rest just follow the parties they are voting since long time.

There is a need to make the voting online. We can vote in both ways either online or offline. Voters who are staying away can cast their votes online and the local people can cast their votes traditionally at the voting centers. Online voting can use remote computers having an Internet connection with the voters having a special user id and password that can be provided through secure media. There will be one vote per user id and password. A sentence from wiki states:

"Corporations and organizations routinely use Internet voting to elect officers and Board members and for other proxy elections. Internet voting systems have been used privately in many modern nations and publicly in the United States, the UKSwitzerland and Estonia."

Today the most important banking sector works full fledged on Internet with all the security intact. We have technology, automated system, security system. It will just require the intent towards making it happen.

  1. Onkar....agree with you.
But implementing this thing in India in these days is impossible as UID creation is in progress and it will take some more years to complete.

Looking forward to see all this in India very soon...!

    1. Yes you are right but don't you think if we start it now, it may get complete within next few years? or otherwise it will never happen.
